Lester Family Vineyard is situated at 500’ elevation in Corralitos’ Pleasant Valley, just 4 miles from the ocean. The fog-influenced climate of the valley lends itself to wines that showcase a richer, rounder fruit profile and a sought-after mineral component that is the signature of a cool-climate wine.
Winemaker Notes:
Lester Family Vineyard is planted to 1 acre of Robert Young clone chardonnay. This clone is known for a viscosity and richness that is quite distinctive and readily apparent in the glass. Aromas of plumeria and jasmine up front, with a touch of tropical fruit backed by pronounced minerality. The palate is expansive and detailed. This wine should develop quite well over the next 4-7 years.

Barreled down with the lees at 3º brix and slowly finished in barrel. Aged sur lie, with batonnage every 2 weeks until January. Sur lie aging continued until June, when the wine was racked and crossflow filtered for bottling.
